Rihanna Drops Her First Song In 50-11 Years, “Lift Me Up” Single
Earlier this week, the forthcoming film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever made its world premiere in Hollywood, CA.
Earlier than that, Rihanna was announced as the performer for the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show.
What do these two have in common? Rihanna finally returning to music after over a half-decade.
With unfounded whispers that she will release her long-anticipate follow-up to 2016’s Anti soon (more often than not, Super Bowl performers drop either a single for the album or the album itself), Rihanna was tapped for the first single from the Wakanda Forever soundtrack, “Life Me Up.” Written by Tems, Ludwig Göransson, Rihanna and Ryan Coogler, the song is a tribute to the late actor Chadwick Boseman.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and its soundtrack arrives November 11.
