Eric Swalwell Laughs as Capitol Riot Officer Michael Fanone Calls Kari Lake a ‘Piece of S***’ on Air
MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace and Representative Eric Swalwell got a kick out of commentary provided by Michael Fanone Tuesday.
The former Capitol Police officer, who has become a staple on liberal media, called GOP Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake a “piece of s***” during an on-air segment.
Fanone was commenting on an ad produced by the Republican Accountability Project which uses the mother of Officer Brian Sicknick to sickeningly accuse Lake of causing her son’s death.
“My son died because of people like Kari Lake,” Gladys Sicknick states in the ad.
That is demonstrably false. Sicknick died of a stroke the day after the riot and his death was ruled by “natural” causes and not “hastened by an injury.”
That didn’t stop the anti-Trump PAC from propping up a grieving mother to spread a false narrative through their political ad.

Fanone: Kari Lake is a ‘Piece of S***’
Fanone, known for his melodramatic testimony, which even his own colleagues have criticized as playing to the national media, was hired as an on-air contributor to CNN in January.
And, as any good CNN personality does, Fanone helped to spread the falsehoods in the anti-Kari Lake ad and promptly denigrated her as a human being.
“I’ve gotten to know Mrs. Sicknick pretty well and I thought that was a powerful ad,” he said. “She is out there, I think, trying to do what all of us are trying to do here, which is bring accountability for January 6.”
Bringing accountability by blatantly lying about her son’s death?
“And, you know, I also support the fact that Kari Lake’s a piece of shit, so I’m glad she did that ad,” Fanone projected.
When they cut to the entire panel, Swalwell (D-CA) can be seen grinning, while Wallace also laughs.
“No one is going to say that you haven’t put it all out on the line in the bluntest terms possible,” she replied.

He’s Projecting
Fanone was dragged into a mob and beaten during the chaos at the Capitol on January 6th. The officer suffered a heart attack during the melee and later publicly denounced lawmakers and others who downplayed the attack.
The man who pulled him into the crowd was just sentenced to 90 months in prison.
Fanone was one of four police officers whose testimony before the House Select Hearing on the Capitol riot in July moved Representative Adam Kinzinger to tears.
He became visibly emotional himself during testimony, saying “what makes the struggle harder and more painful” is seeing lawmakers “downplaying or outright denying what happened” on January 6th.
“The indifference shown to my colleagues is disgraceful,” Fanone said, raising his voice and pounding the table.

The National Police Association would later describe the testimony before the committee investigating the Capitol riot as a politically motivated “dog and pony show.”
And Fanone has since immersed himself in a new career for low-information viewers at CNN and MSNBC.
As for Wallace and Swalwell – imagine if someone had remarked that a female Democrat was a “piece of s***” on Fox News and Tucker Carlson laughed while a Republican lawmaker joined him.
Tucker would have ceaseless calls for advertising boycotts while the GOP lawmaker would be censured and directed to resign from their committee assignments.
Granted, Wallace isn’t a serious journalist and Swalwell should never, ever be taken seriously.
Kari Lake meanwhile, is soon to have a brand new label that Fanone can use – Governor of Arizona.
