Ex-cop at center of NYPD Maddrey sex-for-OT scandal files complaint over crude sex videos leaked online

A retired NYPD lieutenant, Quathisha Epps, has recently filed a complaint over leaked explicit nude videos that have been circulating on social media. Epps, who previously exposed a sex-for-OT scandal that led to the resignation of Chief of Department Jeffrey Maddrey, is now facing another violation of her privacy.
Epps’ lawyer, Eric Sanders, has stated that his client was coerced into making the videos during her relationship with Maddrey, and suspects that he secretly recorded their encounters without her consent. Sanders has vowed to pursue all available legal remedies to protect Epps’ rights and hold those responsible for the leaked videos accountable under the law.
The whistleblower, Epps, had previously filed an Equal Employment Opportunity complaint in December, which ultimately led to Maddrey’s resignation after a 33-year career in the NYPD. In her first interview since coming forward, Epps revealed that the alleged sexual assaults took place at a police headquarters in Manhattan and described Maddrey as a “monster.”
Despite Maddrey’s denial of the allegations, claiming that he had a consensual relationship with Epps, Sanders has emphasized that the leaked videos circulating online have re-victimized Epps. The videos, which show Epps nude and making explicit comments to Maddrey, have further exacerbated the situation for the retired lieutenant.
Sanders has warned that anyone involved in the retention, transmission, or use of the illicit materials will be held accountable under the law. He has stressed the importance of protecting Epps’ rights and ensuring that those responsible for the violation of her privacy are brought to justice.
The case involving Epps and Maddrey highlights the importance of addressing issues of harassment and exploitation in the workplace, especially within law enforcement agencies. It serves as a reminder of the need for accountability and justice in cases of misconduct and abuse of power, and the importance of supporting whistleblowers who come forward to expose wrongdoing.
