Steve Coogan, Tom Burke Among Cast of Netflix Series

British stars Tom Burke and Steve Coogan have been announced as part of the cast for Netflix’s upcoming thriller series “Legend.” The series, created and written by Neil Forsyth, is inspired by real-life criminal investigations involving British Customs employees going undercover to infiltrate dangerous drug gangs in the U.K.

Joining Burke and Coogan in the cast are Hayley Squires, Aml Ameen, Jasmine Blackborow, Douglas Hodge, Tom Hughes, Johnny Harris, Gerald Kyd, and Charlotte Ritchie. The series is set in the early 1990s, during a time when Her Majesty’s Customs and Excise was struggling to combat illegal drug smuggling. In a desperate attempt to tackle the issue, a small team of ordinary employees was sent undercover, tasked with building new identities in the criminal underworld, known as “Legends.”

Charlie Leech will serve as the series producer, with Ben Farrell and Neil Forsyth as executive producers for Tannadice, and Richard Bradley for Lion Television. The show promises to deliver a gripping storyline filled with suspense and intrigue as the characters navigate the dangerous world of drug trafficking.
