Violent crew binds 2 women with tape, steals $1.1 M in valuables in brazen NYC home invasion as kids sleep inside: cops

A horrifying incident unfolded in a quiet Queens neighborhood, where a group of home invaders committed a brazen heist, leaving two women bound with tape as they made off with over $1 million in valuables. The incident took place on Mayfair Road near 116th Street in Kew Gardens, where a 53-year-old nanny had just finished putting the children to sleep and was taking out the trash.

As she spotted five men exiting a white sedan, she hurried back inside the house, only to be ambushed by the intruders. The men forcefully entered the home, pushing the nanny to the ground and restraining her with tape. Another woman, aged 36, who was also present in the house, suffered the same fate as the invaders ransacked the property, seizing jewelry, handbags, clothing, and other items totaling a staggering $1,105,000.

The heartless criminals swiftly fled the scene in a white 2021 Toyota Rav-4, with a sixth man waiting inside the vehicle. Fortunately, no one was physically harmed during the attack. Despite the release of surveillance footage capturing the suspects entering and exiting the home, they remained at large as of Wednesday.

Authorities urge anyone with information regarding the suspects to contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or 1-888-57-PISTA (74782) for Spanish speakers. Tips can also be submitted online through the Crime Stoppers website or via @NYPDTips on social media.

This terrifying incident serves as a reminder of the importance of remaining vigilant and taking necessary precautions to ensure the safety and security of one’s home and loved ones.
