Domestic Dispute Turns Deadly in Bronx Apartment
Tragedy struck a Bronx apartment early Sunday morning when a domestic dispute escalated into a violent altercation, leaving two women stabbed, one fatally. The incident occurred at a building located at Park Avenue and 161st Street, just a short distance from Yankee Stadium.
Details of the Incident
According to law enforcement sources, the stabbing took place around 7 a.m. during an argument between one of the victims and her ex-boyfriend. The victims, believed to be sisters, sustained multiple stab wounds and were rushed to Lincoln Hospital for treatment.
Victims’ Identities
The older woman, identified as 57-year-old Rosemary Tapia-Bautista, tragically succumbed to her injuries and passed away at the hospital. The second victim, aged 40, is currently in stable condition.

Suspect at Large
Authorities have reported that the suspect, the ex-boyfriend of one of the victims, fled the scene on foot following the attack. As of now, no arrests have been made, but law enforcement officials are actively searching for the perpetrator.
Surveillance footage captured the harrowing moment when one of the victims was transported out of the apartment building and into an awaiting ambulance. The investigation into the tragic incident is ongoing as the community mourns the loss of one of its members.
