Paramount to begin mediation with President Trump in $20B lawsuit over ’60 Minutes’ interview: report

President Trump and Paramount Global to Begin Mediation in $20 Billion Lawsuit Over “60 Minutes” Interview with Kamala Harris

Paramount Global and President Trump are set to engage in mediation in the coming days regarding his $20 billion lawsuit against CBS News’ “60 Minutes” interview with Kamala Harris.

A mediator has been appointed for the case, with the deadline for Paramount’s $8 billion merger with Skydance Media being extended for 90 days.

The lawsuit alleges that the interview was deceptively edited, a claim which CBS has denied.

While CBS has filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit, discussions about a possible settlement have been ongoing.

Trump’s lawyer has expressed that the president will pursue the matter to its rightful conclusion.

Aside from the lawsuit, Paramount is also facing scrutiny from the Federal Communications Commission over the interview.

Despite the legal challenges, both Paramount and Skydance are eager to finalize their merger deal.
