Ex-wife of former TV anchor tried to have hitman kill him: cops

A Tennessee mother has recently made headlines after being arrested for allegedly plotting to murder her ex-husband, a former Nashville news anchor. Angelia Solomon reportedly met with an undercover police officer at a shopping mall in Franklin, just south of Nashville, to discuss the killing of her ex-husband, Aaron Solomon, who is a TV and radio personality known for his work as a news anchor at WSMV-TV.

During the meeting with the undercover officer, Angelia Solomon provided details about her ex-husband’s whereabouts and promised future payment for his disappearance. She allegedly expressed her desire for him to “disappear and be put underground.” Additionally, she mentioned that his death would allow their daughter to access a trust fund.

This arrest comes after Angelia Solomon had previously accused her ex-husband of being responsible for the death of their 18-year-old son, Grant Solomon, in 2020. Grant’s death was ruled an accident by authorities after he was tragically run over by his own car. Despite the allegations made by Angelia and her daughter Gracie against Aaron, he has not been charged in either incident.

Furthermore, court documents revealed that a temporary restraining order had been placed against Angelia in 2014 due to her continued baseless allegations of abuse against her ex-husband. The documents also mentioned restrictions on her visitation rights with her children and cited concerns about her mental health.

Angelia Solomon was arrested on charges of solicitation to commit first-degree murder and is currently being held on a $500,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in court for a reduction hearing on Tuesday.

This shocking turn of events has left the community stunned and raises questions about the complexities within the Solomon family. As the investigation continues, more details may emerge about the motives behind Angelia’s alleged plot to harm her ex-husband. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
