Abdul Carter posts Lawrence Taylor photo at pivotal Giants visit

Abdul Carter’s Visit with the Giants Sparks Excitement
Abdul Carter, the standout edge rusher from Penn State and a top prospect in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft, recently met with the New York Giants and shared his excitement on social media. During his Top-30 visit with the team, Carter posted a photo of Giants legend Lawrence Taylor, accompanied by a quote from late team owner Wellington Mara that read: “Once a Giant, always a Giant.”
The gesture was seen as a nod to Taylor, a Hall of Famer and one of the greatest linebackers in NFL history, whose legacy is deeply rooted in Giants lore. Carter’s post fueled speculation that the Giants, who hold the third overall pick in the draft, could be considering him as part of their defensive strategy going forward.
Last season, the Giants struggled defensively, ranking 21st in the league in points allowed per game (24.4) and 24th in passing yards allowed per game (346.8). Carter, known for his aggressive play and versatility on the field, has been a highly touted prospect leading up to the draft.
The Philadelphia native led college football with 23.5 tackles for loss and tallied 12 sacks and two forced fumbles in his last season at Penn State. He was named a unanimous All-American and was instrumental in helping the Nittany Lions reach the brink of the College Football Playoff national title game.
Carter’s impressive performance earned him a spot on the All-Big Ten First Team for two consecutive seasons. With his standout collegiate career and potential as a top defensive prospect, Carter is expected to be selected within the top four picks in the upcoming draft.
The Giants, in need of defensive reinforcements, could see Carter as a valuable addition to their roster as they look to improve their performance on that side of the ball. With his skill set and track record of success, Carter has the potential to make an immediate impact at the professional level and contribute to the Giants’ efforts to bolster their defense for the upcoming season.
