Alabama lunch lady sacked for having sex with student at her home: report

A shocking incident has come to light in Alabama, where a married lunch lady, Amy Nicole Wigginton, has been fired from her job at Lauderdale County High School in Rogersville. The 41-year-old cafeteria worker was reportedly caught and later confessed to having sexual relations with a teenage student on two separate occasions.

Following her arrest on April 4, Wigginton was placed on administrative leave and ultimately dismissed from her position after a unanimous vote by the district’s Board of Education. The depraved acts were brought to light when she admitted to engaging in sexual activity with the male student on March 7 and 31, as per court documents obtained by WAAY TV.

Despite being married with children, Wigginton confessed to the sickening acts that took place at her family home in Rogersville. The school district, however, did not immediately respond to inquiries regarding the incident. The student involved in the scandal is reported to be younger than 19, though his exact age was not disclosed in the court documents.

Wigginton has been charged with two counts of a school employee engaging in a sex act with a student and was booked at the Lauderdale County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond. She posted bail shortly after her arrest and is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on June 23.

This disturbing case serves as a reminder of the importance of safeguarding students and maintaining boundaries between staff and students in educational institutions. It is essential to uphold the trust and integrity of the educational environment to ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
