An Aurora man was tragically shot and killed in his apartment on Friday night, as reported by Aurora police. The shooter is still at large, with authorities actively searching for leads as of Saturday.

The victim was found by his downstairs neighbor, who heard a disturbance and entered the apartment in the 17100 block of East Adriatic Drive just after 10:15 p.m., according to police statements.

The man had sustained a gunshot wound and was rushed to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Saturday morning. The Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office will release his identity in due course.

Law enforcement officials are currently pursuing leads but have not made any arrests as of Saturday afternoon.
