Bella Thorne Accuses Mickey Rourke of On-Set Misconduct

Bella Thorne recently came forward with allegations of on-set misconduct against fellow actor Mickey Rourke, following his recent homophobia scandal involving singer JoJo Siwa. Thorne took to social media to share her disturbing experiences while filming a project with Rourke, although she did not specify the project by name.

According to Thorne’s Instagram posts, Rourke subjected her to a series of inappropriate and uncomfortable situations during their time working together. In one instance, Thorne described a scene where Rourke was supposed to use a metal grinder on her knee cap but instead used it on her genitals through her jeans, causing bruises on her pelvic bone. Thorne expressed that working with Rourke was one of the worst experiences of her acting career.

Thorne also detailed other instances of misconduct by Rourke, including a scene where he revved his engine to cover her in dirt and instances where he made unreasonable demands on set. Despite feeling uncomfortable, Thorne felt pressured to comply in order to complete the movie.

In response to Thorne’s allegations, a representative for Rourke issued a statement denying any intentional misconduct on his part. The statement emphasized Rourke’s willingness to cooperate with any inquiry into the matter and affirmed the right of performers to feel safe and respected in their work environment.

Thorne and Rourke previously starred in the thriller “Girl,” where Thorne played the lead role seeking vengeance on her abusive father, played by Rourke. The movie was written and directed by Chad Faust, who also appeared in the film.

Thorne’s accusations come in the midst of Rourke’s homophobia scandal on the reality show “Celebrity Big Brother,” where he made inappropriate comments about JoJo Siwa. Rourke received a formal warning for his remarks and later apologized for any offense caused.

As the situation unfolds, it is essential to prioritize the safety and well-being of all individuals in the entertainment industry. Thorne’s bravery in speaking out serves as a reminder of the importance of creating a respectful and inclusive work environment for all.
