California father abducts children, possibly going to Ukraine

Man Abducts Children, Possibly Heading to Ukraine
A man identified as Rodion Kolomoeits has abducted his two children from their school in Los Angeles and is suspected to be heading to Ukraine, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
The LAPD described Kolomoeits as a 39-year-old White male with brown hair and gray eyes. He is a Ukrainian national and is believed to be attempting to return to Ukraine with his children, 9-year-old Avaora Kolomoeits and 7-year-old Hrant Kolomoeits, whom he recently lost custody of.
The suspect’s vehicle, a Toyota Prius, was spotted crossing the U.S. southern border into Mexico at San Ysidro after the abduction.
All three individuals speak Russian as their primary language.

The LAPD is urging anyone with information about the missing children to come forward.
Meanwhile, tensions between Russia and Ukraine are on the rise, with Russian airstrikes hitting Kyiv in the latest wave of attacks.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has condemned the attacks, attributing them to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s disregard for diplomatic efforts to end the conflict.
