Car ploughs into Rolleston bedroom

A family in Canterbury experienced a rude awakening when a car crashed into their bedroom in Rolleston.
The incident occurred at the Silverstone Loop and Shillingford Blvd intersection at 3.45am. The vehicle rolled into the house, coming to rest on its side in the master bedroom where the family was sleeping.
The homeowners sustained cuts and bruises from the impact and were left understandably shaken by the ordeal.
According to a police spokesperson, the driver of the car suffered moderate injuries in the crash.

Evidence from tire marks indicated that the car veered off course, crossed a park area, crashed through a fence, and ultimately collided with the house.
