‘Daily Show’ Sets Jordan Klepper Special About Young Trump Voters

Jordan Klepper is set to dive back into the world of young Donald Trump supporters in a new Comedy Central special titled “MAGA: The Next Generation.” Presented by “The Daily Show,” the special will air immediately after the show on May 19 at 11:30 p.m. It will be available for streaming on Paramount+ and on “The Daily Show’s” YouTube channel the following day.

Known for his candid interviews with Trump supporters at rallies, Klepper will take viewers on a journey to understand the mindset of young Republicans. From college campuses to MMA octagons, he will explore why in 2024, Donald Trump resonated with voters under 30 more than any Republican candidate since 2008. Was it due to economic concerns or simply the allure of a 78-year-old dancing to YMCA? Klepper will also investigate whether the shift in the MAGA movement among young voters is a lasting change or just a rebellion against a centuries-old Constitution.

This special marks Klepper’s sixth collaboration with “The Daily Show,” following previous Emmy-nominated programs that delved into topics such as Republicans’ ties to Russia and Hungary’s far-right government. In addition, he has reflected on his experiences on the 2020 campaign trail, covered the American midterm elections, and explored the minds of Trump’s most fervent supporters.

Klepper first joined “The Daily Show” as a correspondent in 2014, working under hosts Jon Stewart and later Trevor Noah. After a brief hiatus to host his own satirical program, “The Opposition With Jordan Klepper,” he returned full-time in 2019. In 2023, he joined a talented lineup of hosts that includes Jon Stewart, Ronny Chieng, Michael Kosta, and Desi Lydic.

Fans of Klepper and “The Daily Show” can look forward to an insightful and entertaining exploration of the next generation of MAGA supporters in this upcoming special.
