Deborah Norville Exiting ‘Inside Edition’ After 30 Years

Billboard Women in Music 2025

Deborah Norville, the anchor of “Inside Edition” for the past 30 years, has announced her departure from the daytime newsmagazine strip. Despite leaving the show, Norville is not exiting the syndication universe entirely. She will be moving on to host the syndicated trivia game show “The Perfect Line” in the fall of 2025. Her decision to leave “Inside Edition” comes after passing on an offer to stay with the show, citing a desire to pursue new opportunities that continuing on the show would not allow.

During the announcement on Wednesday’s show, Norville expressed gratitude for her time on “Inside Edition” and the opportunity to connect with viewers daily. She mentioned that while she was offered a lovely opportunity to stay, she felt it was time to explore other ventures. Norville, who previously worked on “Today” and CBS News, joined “Inside Edition” in 1995 and has been a staple of the show ever since.

Charles Lachman, the executive producer of “Inside Edition,” commended Norville for her contributions to the show over the past three decades. He expressed excitement for her to embark on the next chapter of her broadcasting career and build upon her impressive legacy in the industry.

“Inside Edition” is produced by Inside Edition Inc. and distributed by CBS Media Ventures. The same production company is also behind “The Perfect Line,” a trivia game show that has been greenlit for the fall of 2025. The show, based on a board game from CMYK, challenges contestants to arrange events, items, or people in a specific order based on various categories. The last contestant standing has the chance to win $10,000 in the final round.

With Norville’s departure from “Inside Edition” and her upcoming role as the host of “The Perfect Line,” fans can expect to see her continue to shine in the world of syndicated television. Her decision to move on from the show marks a new chapter in her career, and viewers can look forward to seeing her talents showcased in a different format.
