Denver cooler startup adds showroom, expands into Dick’s Sporting Goods

RovR Launches New Line of Coolers and Drinkware

RovR, a Denver-based company, recently unveiled a new collection of coolers and drinkware, marking its first product launch since its establishment in 2016. According to CEO Kelley Smith, the new chillers and ceramic tumblers are part of a rebranding effort for RovR, which was acquired by packraft company Kokopelli two years ago.

Smith aims to shift the target audience of RovR from hunters and fishers to a more diverse market, including soccer moms and beach enthusiasts. The new line includes three soft coolers and three hard coolers, designed to be more versatile with unique features like rubber and inflatable wheels for easy maneuverability on various terrains.

Available in five colors, such as coral and matcha, the coolers are designed to appeal to a broader audience. The flagship product, the RollR 45 priced at $275, will be tested at 80 Dick’s Sporting Goods locations in Texas, California, and Florida.

Smith sees this expansion as a significant opportunity for growth within the athletic retail chain, with plans to leverage the company’s presence in stores like REI, Backcountry.com, Lowe’s, and Home Depot.

Since acquiring RovR in 2023, Kokopelli has seen a surge in sales in 2025, following a decline in previous years. Smith is currently raising $5 million to further develop RovR, with a focus on enhancing the brand’s presence in the market.

Aside from product expansion, Smith also plans to open an 1,800 square foot retail space at York Street Yards in June to showcase both Kokopelli and RovR products. This flagship headquarters will serve as a display and office space, accommodating potential customers and partners.

With a vision for growth and expansion, Smith envisions hosting events and collaborations at the showroom to engage with the community and drive brand awareness.
