Fall is slowly creeping up on us and along with that come busy school days full of activities and programs for the entire family to participate in. As if you didn’t have enough on your plate from the summer, now you have to contend with busy practices, decorating your home and somewhere in between it all you are looking for a way to feed your family a delicious meal that at least has TWO of the four food groups.
Well look no further, I have you covered!
I am going to share with you a simple recipe for Easy Chicken Pot pie that you will love! Best of all with this recipe you only need to prep for about ten minutes max as long as your oven is preheated!
Here is what you will need:
1 lb of cooked chicken (I used the canned variety but feel free to cook your own to reduce sodium intake)
Tablespoon of garlic and one chopped onion
1 bag of frozen vegetables (peas and carrots makes it easy)
2 cans Cream of Chicken Soup with Herb (or not)
One package of flaky biscuit dough (your brand of choice)
Preheat oven to 350-375 degrees
Place cooked chicken in a baking dish. Place garlic, onions, frozen vegetables and soup on top of cooked chicken and spread around.
Position flaky biscuits on top of chicken and veggies and bake for 20 – 30 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.
Remove from oven let cool and serve with a side salad or a dessert of choice.
