Ex-FDNY firefighter and OnlyFans model jailed in fatal drunk-driving wreck

Ex-FDNY firefighter Michael Pena, who also worked as an OnlyFans model, was taken into custody on Thursday for allegedly causing a fatal accident while driving under the influence in Queens. The victim, 23-year-old Justin Cruz, was tragically killed in the crash.

The courtroom was packed with over 50 of Cruz’s family members as Pena, dressed in a sharp suit, was hit with a 14-count indictment, including manslaughter charges. Prosecutors revealed that Pena was speeding at 83 mph in a 25 mph zone, had been drinking and using drugs before the incident, and his blood-alcohol level was significantly above the legal limit.

Surveillance footage captured the moment when Pena’s Mercedes collided with Cruz’s vehicle. Despite initially being out on bail, the judge decided to revoke Pena’s bail due to the severity of the charges and the potential sentence he faced if convicted.

Pena’s attorney argued for him to remain out on bail, citing his ties to the community, but the judge sided with the prosecution, leading to cheers from Cruz’s family in the courtroom. Franklin Diaz Jr., the victim’s brother, expressed outrage at Pena’s behavior and lack of remorse, especially during his arraignment.

Justin Diaz, the victim, had recently graduated and was pursuing a career in aeronautics. His family described him as hardworking and dedicated, with a bright future ahead of him. Pena, on the other hand, had a history of arrests and traffic violations, including multiple speeding tickets.

Apart from his firefighting job, Pena also ran an OnlyFans account under the name “I’m Mike LV,” where he shared explicit content for a fee. His online activities and behavior were condemned by Diaz’s family, who mourned the loss of a promising young man whose life was cut short by Pena’s reckless actions.

As the legal proceedings continue, the Diaz family seeks justice for Justin and hopes that Pena will be held accountable for his actions. The tragic incident serves as a reminder of the devastating consequences of driving under the influence and the importance of responsible behavior on the road.
