Jan Schwieterman, known for his role in the beloved 90s film “Good Burger,” has left behind a legacy after succumbing to cancer at the age of 52.
Jan breathed his last on February 28 at Mercy Hospital in Washington, Missouri, as confirmed by an online obituary.
His brother, Chad, shared on Facebook that Jan had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of stage 4 cancer just a few weeks ago.
Jan’s journey began in the quiet town of Bluffton, Indiana, before he ventured to Hollywood post high school to pursue his acting dreams. He made appearances in TV series like “McKenna,” “ER,” and “Forever.”
In 1997, Jan found fame playing Kurt Bozwell in “Good Burger” alongside Kenan Thompson. The movie depicted a hilarious rivalry between Good Burger and Mondo Burger, where Jan’s character owned the latter.
Jan’s passing at the age of 52 has left fans and colleagues mourning a talented actor gone too soon.
