Hulu Cancels Diddy’s Family Reality Show Amidst Allegations

The planned reality series focusing on Sean “Diddy” Combs and his family, titled “Diddy+7,” has been canceled by Hulu. The show was intended to follow the life of Diddy and his seven children: Quincy Taylor Brown, Justin Combs, Christian Combs, Chance Combs, twins D’Lila and Jessie Combs, and the youngest, Love Sean Combs. However, recent allegations of sexual assault against Combs led to Hulu’s decision to scrap the project.

The series, which was in its early stages of development, faced a setback as multiple lawsuits were filed against Combs. These allegations include a lawsuit from his former longtime girlfriend, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, who accused him of rape and physical abuse over a decade. Combs has consistently denied any misconduct, and the case with Ventura was settled quickly. However, following the settlement, Joi Dickerson-Neal filed a second lawsuit alleging that Combs “drugged, sexually assaulted and abused” her.

Moreover, there are additional accusations from two women from the 1990s and another who claims that Combs and singer Aaron Hall raped her and her friends between 1990 and 1991. Another accuser claims she was raped by Combs when she was seventeen. Amid these mounting allegations, several businesses have reportedly severed ties with Combs, including 18 companies that have terminated their partnerships with his e-commerce platform, Empower Global.

Despite Combs’ denial of the allegations and his statement condemning the attempts to tarnish his character and reputation, the impact on his business ventures and projects, including the Hulu reality show, is evident. The show was expected to offer a glimpse into the personal and professional life of Combs and his family, highlighting their new business ventures and daily activities. The cancellation of “Diddy+7” marks a significant shift in Combs’ public and professional life, impacted by the serious nature of the allegations against him.
