Jack and Jill to Celebrate Leadership and Legacy at 46th National Convention
Jack and Jill of America, Inc., a prominent African American family organization, is set to celebrate leadership and legacy at its 46th National Convention. This year’s event, taking place from July 26-30 in Orlando, Florida, will bring together thousands of members to honor the organization’s rich history and continue its mission of nurturing future leaders.
Founded in 1938, Jack and Jill of America, Inc. focuses on developing strong leaders through volunteer service, philanthropic giving, and educational programming. The convention will feature a range of activities and events designed to celebrate these principles and the impact they have had over the decades.
The theme for this year’s convention, “Leadership and Legacy: Shaping Our Future,” reflects the organization’s ongoing commitment to empowering African American youth. Attendees can look forward to keynote speeches, workshops, and panel discussions led by distinguished leaders in various fields, including education, business, and community service.
National President Kornisha Brown emphasized the significance of this gathering. “Our national convention is a time for us to come together, reflect on our achievements, and strategize for the future,” Brown said. “We are proud of our legacy and excited about the opportunities ahead to continue making a difference in our communities.”
A highlight of the convention will be the Leadership Luncheon, which honors members who have demonstrated exceptional service and leadership. Additionally, the event will include a Youth Summit, where young members of Jack and Jill will engage in leadership training and community service projects.
The convention also provides a platform for networking and collaboration among chapters from across the country. It is an opportunity for members to share best practices, celebrate successes, and inspire one another.
Elaine Harris, a long-time member and past national officer, spoke about the importance of the convention. “It’s incredible to see the passion and dedication of our members, young and old,” Harris said. “This convention reaffirms our commitment to nurturing leaders who will positively impact our society.”
Throughout the five-day event, attendees will participate in various activities, including cultural excursions, social events, and the much-anticipated Grand Gala. The gala will feature live performances, award presentations, and a celebration of the organization’s milestones.
The 46th National Convention promises to be a memorable occasion, honoring the legacy of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. while inspiring future generations to lead and serve.
