Jacob Elordi ‘The Narrow Road to the Deep North’ Trailer Unveiled

Prime Video has recently released the trailer for the highly anticipated limited series “The Narrow Road to the Deep North,” based on Richard Flanagan’s award-winning novel of the same name. Directed by Justin Kurzel, the series follows the life of Dorrigo Evans, played by Jacob Elordi, a medical officer who becomes a prisoner of war during World War II and is haunted by his forbidden love affair with his uncle’s wife, Amy Mulvaney, portrayed by Odessa Young.
Filmed in New South Wales, Australia, the decade-spanning series explores Evans’ journey from a prisoner of war to a revered surgeon and war hero. The show premiered at the Berlin Film Festival to rave reviews, with Kurzel and Elordi receiving warm applause from the audience.
“The Narrow Road to the Deep North” will premiere all five episodes on Prime Video in Australia, New Zealand, and Canada on April 18. Produced by Curio Pictures and presented by Amazon MGM Studios, the international cast includes Ciarán Hinds, Olivia DeJonge, Heather Mitchell, Sho Kasamatsu, Thomas Weatherall, and Simon Baker.
The series is a part of Prime Video’s commitment to Australian Original content, with 30 original series commissioned since 2019. Executive produced by Jo Porter, Rachel Gardner, Richard Flanagan, Shaun Grant, and Justin Kurzel, the show is distributed internationally by Sony Pictures Television.
