‘Justice is coming,’ AG Pam Bondi says

A man accused of firebombing a Tesla dealership in Colorado is now facing federal charges, according to Attorney General Pam Bondi. Cooper Jo Fredrick, 24, was apprehended in Plano, Texas, for allegedly attacking a Tesla dealership in Loveland, Colo., on March 7.

Bondi issued a stern warning in a video message, stating, “Let this be a warning. You can run, but you cannot hide. Justice is coming.” Fredrick, a resident of Fort Collins, Colo., reportedly ignited an incendiary device and threw it at the dealership, narrowly missing several parked vehicles. The device landed between two cars, causing a fire, as confirmed by Loveland police.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported as several individuals inside the dealership managed to escape unharmed. Quick action by a police officer on the scene extinguished the flames, preventing further damage. However, the building and several vehicles sustained damage from the incident.

Fredrick was arrested a week after the attack, and federal prosecutors are seeking a 20-year prison sentence for him. Along with federal charges, Fredrick is also facing local charges, including second-degree arson and possession of explosives or incendiary devices.

The attack on the Tesla dealership is part of a series of incidents targeting Tesla properties in recent weeks. These attacks seem to be aimed at Tesla CEO Elon Musk and his involvement with the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

Additionally, another suspect, Lucy Grace Nelson, also known as Justin Thomas Nelson, is facing charges in connection with a separate incident at the same Loveland dealership on Feb. 27. In response to these attacks, the FBI has initiated a task force in collaboration with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) to investigate and combat the violence.

It is crucial to address these cases promptly as they pose a significant threat to public safety. Bondi emphasized that there will be no negotiation when it comes to domestic terrorism targeting Tesla properties. The enforcement agencies are committed to identifying, arresting, and prosecuting individuals involved in such criminal activities to ensure accountability and deter future incidents.
