Seeks Dismissal of Rape Lawsuit Against Him

Hip Hop music industry legend Kevin Liles is seeking to have a sexual assault lawsuit against him dismissed.
Kevin filed legal documents on Tuesday requesting permission to file a motion to dismiss a lawsuit brought against him earlier this year. The lawsuit alleges that he raped a woman back in 2002 while he was working as an executive at Def Jam Recordings.
According to the new legal documents obtained by TMZ, Kevin argues that the lawsuit should be dismissed due to the statute of limitations expiring on the woman’s claims. He also contends that the allegations in the suit are baseless and lack specific details.
Kevin maintains that the allegations made against him are completely false and that the lack of specific information provided by the accuser hinders the progression of the case.
Earlier this year, Liles was sued by a Jane Doe who alleged that he sexually harassed her while they worked together at Def Jam. The lawsuit claims that Liles engaged in inappropriate behavior such as touching her inappropriately and eventually raping her after she rejected his advances.
Kevin vehemently denied the accusations when the lawsuit was initially filed and is now taking steps to have the case dismissed.
