Megyn Kelly Says Taylor Swift Should Distance Herself From Blake Lively

Megyn Kelly Calls Out Blake Lively at Time100 Gala
Megyn Kelly made some bold statements at the Time100 gala in New York City, specifically targeting her fellow honoree Blake Lively. When asked about Lively’s controversial inclusion on Time’s Most Influential People list, Kelly didn’t hold back, stating that Lively was only there because of her celebrity status. She also referred to Lively’s allegations against her “It Ends With Us” co-star Justin Baldoni as “fake Me Too allegations.”
Kelly spent a significant amount of time discussing the Lively-Baldoni case with reporters on the red carpet, even offering advice to Lively’s friend Taylor Swift. She mentioned a text message from Lively where Swift was referred to as Khaleesi, the dragon-controlling queen from “Game of Thrones,” implying powerful alliances in play.
“Either Taylor Swift is her dragon or she isn’t, I don’t know,” Kelly told Variety. She suggested that Swift should speak out about the situation but noted that Swift seemed to be distancing herself.
Lively attended the gala with her husband Ryan Reynolds and mother Willie Elain McAlpin, whom she honored with a heartfelt speech. During her speech, Lively revealed that her mother had survived a life-threatening attack before Lively was born.
“My mom never got justice from her work acquaintance who attempted to take her life when she was the mother of three young kids — years before I was born,” Lively shared. She credited her mother’s survival to a radio broadcast where another woman shared a similar experience.
Lively also mentioned her legal battle with Baldoni, accusing him and his team of launching a smear campaign against her after she reported sexual harassment on set. In response, Baldoni filed a lawsuit against Lively and Reynolds, alleging that they were trying to ruin his career with false accusations.
