Michigan teen sentenced to live in prison with no parole for high school shooting

Ethan Crumbley, the Michigan teenager responsible for the 2021 Oxford High School shooting, has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Crumbley, 17 years old at the time of the sentencing, had pleaded guilty to a total of 24 charges, including a single count of terrorism causing death, four charges of first-degree murder, and 19 other related charges. This sentence follows Crumbley’s guilty plea last October after initially entering a not guilty plea. The violent incident, which resulted in the deaths of four students and the injury of others, led to victim impact statements from families and survivors during the sentencing. Crumbley’s parents are also facing charges for their role in the incident.
