Missing teens along with others bodies found in Oklahoma
Authorities in Oklahoma made a gruesome discovery on Monday while searching for two missing teenagers. They found seven bodies on a rural property in Okmulgee County, though the identities of the victims have not been confirmed. Several of them are believed to be high school students, according to the local school system.
Initially, the search was focused on 14-year-old Ivy Webster, who went missing over the weekend. A wider EMA, or Endangered Missing Advisory, was then issued for Webster and 16-year-old Brittany Brewer, as well as 39-year-old Jesse L. McFadden. The alert said that the trio was possibly traveling in a white Chevy Avalanche.
However, police later executed a search warrant on McFadden’s property, where they discovered the seven bodies. The teens and McFadden were no longer considered missing, and authorities canceled the EMA.
While the investigation is still ongoing, Sheriff Eddy Rice confirmed that the scene is being investigated as a homicide. He declined to answer questions about the victims’ identities, how they died, or the precise location of the bodies.
The community is reeling from the tragedy, with many questions left unanswered. “It is a tragedy with one individual, but it is catastrophic when you have seven individuals,” said Pastor Ryan Wells. “We’re still gathering information. There’s a lot to be uncovered, lots of details we don’t know.”
