Mom of Connecticut house of horrors victim slams alleged captor

The biological mother of the man who was allegedly locked away and starved for two decades has expressed her outrage at the accused captor, Kimberly Sullivan, referring to her as the “lowest of the low.” Tracy Vallerand, who lost custody of her son as an infant, has been vocal about her desire to see Sullivan behind bars as she awaits trial. She believes that Sullivan poses a significant flight risk and should not have been granted bail.
Vallerand emphasized the importance of justice for her son, who is now 32 years old and has endured unimaginable suffering. She expressed her sadness at the situation and the need for her son to learn to live his life after years of captivity. Sullivan, who was released on $300,000 bond, is facing allegations of locking her stepson in a small room for up to 22 hours a day, depriving him of food and water to the point where he would drink from the toilet.
Despite Sullivan’s attorney filing a motion to have the ankle monitor requirement dropped, Vallerand strongly opposed this move. She criticized the attorney for representing such a despicable client and expressed her disbelief at his actions. Vallerand had been trying to reconnect with her son since he turned 18 but was unable to find any trace of him online. She never imagined that he had been hidden from the world for two decades, suffering in silence until he set his room on fire in a desperate bid for freedom.
The victim, identified only as “S,” recently issued a statement, revealing that he is getting stronger every day. He described the more than 20 years of captivity and abuse he endured, expressing gratitude for the care he has received since his escape. Despite the trauma he endured, he is determined to move forward and rebuild his life. Sullivan has pleaded not guilty to charges of assault and kidnapping, and the legal proceedings continue as the victim seeks justice and healing.
