Nathan Filion to Play Guy Gardner in HBO Series

HBO’s “Lanterns” Series Casts Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner
HBO’s highly anticipated DC series “Lanterns” has recently announced the addition of Nathan Fillion to its cast. Fillion will be portraying the character of Guy Gardner, one of the Green Lanterns featured in the show.
This casting choice is not unfamiliar territory for Fillion, as he has previously lent his voice to the Green Lantern character in various animated films. In the 2011 animated film “Green Lantern: Emerald Knights,” Fillion voiced Hal Jordan, a prominent member of the Green Lantern Corps. He reprised this role in subsequent animated films such as “Justice League: Doom” (2012), “Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox” (2013), “Justice League: Throne of Atlantis” (2015), “The Death of Superman” (2018), and “Reign of the Supermen” (2019), all of which were released straight to DVD.
In a surprising twist, Fillion was also cast as a Green Lantern in James Gunn’s upcoming live-action film “Superman,” set to be released in July 2023. However, this time he will be portraying the character of Guy Gardner instead of Hal Jordan.
With Fillion’s extensive experience voicing Green Lantern characters in animated films, fans are excited to see how he will bring Guy Gardner to life in both “Lanterns” and the upcoming “Superman” film.
