Offset Performs For The First Time after Takeoff’s Death
Offset performed in front of his fans for the first time since the death of Takeoff, his cousin and fellow Migos member. On Thursday, 30-year-old Cardi B arrived at Miami’s E11EVEN venue with her husband. For about 30 minutes, he performed some of his biggest hits while remembering Takeoff, RollingStone reports.
“We are going to go Takeoff crazy in here tonight,” Offset told the crowd.
As the crowd clapped along, the rapper Offset continued to pay tribute, playing tracks such as “Fight Night”, “Bad and Boujee”, and “Last Memory”. Takeoff’s single from the 2018 solo album The Last Rocket was also played. Offset said during his performance, “I’m doing this for my brother.”
A rep for E11Even has said that Offset threw thousands of dollars into the crowd during his show. When he asked the DJ to play Cardi B’s song “Tomorrow 2,” the “Walk It Talk It” rapper also paid homage to his wife.
