Report: $128 Million in Federal Grants Spent on Gender Ideology

The Biden administration has come under scrutiny for allocating over $128 million of federal taxpayer money to fund gender ideology initiatives. According to an analysis by the American Principles Project, at least 341 grants have been awarded to support these initiatives.

The report, titled “Funding Insanity: Federal Spending on Gender Ideology under Biden-Harris,” highlights how the federal government has been spending millions of taxpayer dollars on what the organization refers to as the “Gender Industrial Complex.”

The data was gathered by searching the USA Spending database, which categorizes federal funding by agency. The U.S. Health and Human Services Department received the largest portion of funding, totaling nearly $84 million through 60 grants. The Department of State, on the other hand, awarded the highest number of grants (209), amounting to over $14 million.

Other agencies that have allocated taxpayer funds for gender ideology initiatives include the U.S. Agency for International Development, the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Department of Justice, the Department of Education, and more. In total, over $46 million was identified through 63 federal agency contracts promoting gender ideology.

Notable grants mentioned in the report include funding for LGBTQI+ initiatives in Uganda, Serbia, Jamaica, Bangladesh, and the Western Balkans. One grant, which has since been canceled, allocated $600,000 from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to study menstruation and menopause, including in biological men.

The report also highlights the Trump administration’s efforts to reduce funding for agencies like USAID and the Department of Defense, which have faced legal challenges. With ongoing pressure to cut funding and eliminate redundancies, the allocation of taxpayer dollars to gender ideology initiatives continues to be a contentious issue.

It is important to note that all federal funding for these initiatives was approved by Congress through continuing resolutions to fund the federal government and agency budgets.

In conclusion, the analysis by the American Principles Project sheds light on the significant amount of taxpayer money being spent on gender ideology initiatives under the Biden administration. As debates over federal spending priorities continue, the allocation of funds for such initiatives remains a topic of debate and controversy.
