Robert De Niro Watches ‘Ms.Rachel’ With His ‘Discerning’ 2-Year-Old

Robert De Niro’s Morning Routine Includes Watching “Ms. Rachel” with His Daughter Gia

Even legendary actor Robert De Niro, a two-time Oscar winner, starts his mornings with a special routine involving his two-year-old daughter Gia. In a recent interview with Andy Cohen on Sirius XM’s Radio Andy, De Niro revealed that Gia has a preference for watching YouTuber Ms. Rachel’s videos.

“That’s what I did this morning,” De Niro shared with Cohen. “We watched ‘Ms. Rachel,’ ‘The Wiggles,’ and ‘Blippi.’ Gia has a discerning taste and ‘Ms. Rachel’ is her favorite. We started with it and still watch it regularly.” De Niro mentioned that Gia’s preference for “Ms. Rachel” has evolved over time, with her becoming more selective about the content she watches.

“Now she’s becoming more discerning because she’s seen it so many times,” De Niro explained. “She’s waiting for new episodes, new skits, new songs. If she doesn’t like something, she’ll ask me to switch to something else.”

Robert De Niro’s Latest Project: “The Alto Knights”

Aside from spending quality time with his daughter, De Niro recently worked on a new film project titled “The Alto Knights” with director Barry Levinson. In the crime thriller, De Niro plays dual roles as mob bosses Vito Genovese and Frank Costello. The movie, written by Nicholas Pileggi, explores the Italian American mafia in the mid-twentieth century.

“The Alto Knights” also stars Debra Messing as Bobbie Costello, Kathrine Narducci as Anna Genovese, and Cosmo Jarvis. The film delves into the power struggles and betrayals within the mafia, culminating in Genovese’s attempted hit on Costello in 1957.

Directed by Levinson, the film showcases De Niro’s versatility as an actor, with Levinson praising his performance in the dual roles. “It was like working with two different actors. De Niro’s portrayal of both characters is truly remarkable,” Levinson commented.
