Sherrie Sheperd talks about her appearance on “Celebrity Family Feud”
Actress and talk show host Sherri Shepherd is reflecting on her infamous appearance on “Celebrity Family Feud” in 2018, during which she provided several incorrect answers to questions posed by host Steve Harvey.
During one particularly memorable moment, Harvey asked Shepherd to “Name something a lady cop might do to her husband in the bedroom.” Shepherd replied by yelling, “Cut his penis off.” Harvey quickly admonished her, saying, “Sherri, listen to me. This is a game show, this isn’t therapy.”
Now, a new ABC series called “The Game Show Show” will explore Shepherd’s experience on the show and other game shows from the past 80 years, according to People magazine.
In a preview clip for the four-part series, Shepherd looked back on her disastrous appearance, recalling that every answer she gave during the lightning round was incorrect. She also suggested that the questions asked were not reflective of the answers that actual people would give.
Despite her poor performance, Shepherd’s team miraculously won the Fast Money round, earning $25,000 for the Summit View School.
Harvey himself appeared on Shepherd’s own show earlier this year, jokingly criticizing her response and claiming that it was personal. When Shepherd suggested a second invitation on “Celebrity Family Feud,” Harvey shot her down, saying, “Play the game at your house.”
