SNL Sketch Has Scarlett Johansson, Show Alumni

The latest episode of “Saturday Night Live” featured a hilarious parody of the hit show “The White Lotus” in a pre-taped segment that took aim at President Trump’s inner circle amidst the fallout from his tariffs. The sketch brilliantly spoofed the characters from the show, with James Austin Johnson portraying Trump as Timothy Ratliff, who faces backlash after his tariff plan negatively impacts the stock market.
The Trump family was cleverly matched up with the characters from “The White Lotus,” with Chloe Fineman channeling Melania with a southern accent reminiscent of Parker Posey’s character. Mikey Day reprised his role as Don Jr., who finds himself in a scandalous situation similar to one from the show. In this parody, he is seen satisfying Tiger Woods, played by Kenan Thompson, who is dating his ex-wife.
The sketch was filled with hilarious cameos, including Scarlett Johansson as Ivanka, Alex Moffat as Eric, and Beck Bennett as Vladimir Putin. Host Jon Hamm took on the role of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., while Lizzo made a guest appearance as Belinda for a clever stock market joke. Even Jon Gries, a real-life cast member of “The White Lotus,” had a quick cameo as Greg.
The parody also included a storyline featuring Ashley Padilla as Pam Bondi, Heidi Gardner as Kristi Noem, and Marcello Hernández as Marco Rubio. The sketch was a nod to the popularity of “The White Lotus,” especially after its shocking ending that had viewers buzzing for days and led to record-high ratings for the show.
