Stephen Colbert Begs The ‘Deep State’ To Stop Trump

Colbert Mocks Trump’s “Liberation Day” Tariffs After Dow Jones Plunge
During his Thursday night monologue, Stephen Colbert couldn’t help but make fun of President Trump’s “liberation day” tariffs that led to the biggest plunge in the Dow Jones Industrial Average since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
“Anyone feeling liberated?” he jokingly asked his audience, highlighting the irony of the situation.
Colbert then pointed out the severity of the situation, calling it the “worst day for our economy since COVID.” He quipped, “Just a little reminder: This time, he’s the disease.”
In a sarcastic tone, Colbert dismissed the idea of a shadowy “deep state” controlling the government, stating that if such a group existed, they would have intervened to prevent the economic collapse. He humorously called out the financial and governmental elites, urging them to step in and help, saying, “Maybe put a pause on your 5G chip JFK Jr adrenochrome chemtrail orgy and jump in here cuz we’re fucking dying.”
Despite the seriousness of the situation, Colbert managed to inject humor into his monologue, poking fun at the absurdity of the events unfolding in the world of politics and finance.
