The long-awaited car camera from Ring is now available
You can pre-order the camera for the limited-time price of $199 (normally, it retails for $249.99) at CES 2023. A few key features of the Ring Car Cam are: It has a dual-facing camera that will record when the car is in motion or parked. The camera’s sensors will automatically start recording in the event of a break-in. The camera’s built-in microphone also allows you to speak to the person breaking into your car live, which…might scare some people away.
Second: The Car Cam works within the Ring system. The Amazon-owned Ring is incredibly popular, for better or worse. A car camera that works with a security system that people already use is available. A big feature called Traffic Stop is another great feature. If you get in a minor accident or are pulled over by the police, you can say “Alexa, record” and the camera will record with the car stopped or in park.
You can get LTE functionality with a Ring Protect Go subscription that will cost you $6 per month, or $60 a year; however, the camera will automatically connect to your home WiFi. With that subscription, you can get alerts while your car is away from home. You can also look into your vehicle live, no matter where it is.
The Car Cam will now begin shipping to customers in February, but it was first announced in 2020.
Ring also announced that it would bring back its Peephole Cam in addition to the Car Cam. people who can’t (or are too paranoid to) see who’s at their door — can
