The Revival’ Sets May Premiere Date

A&E has officially announced the premiere date for the highly anticipated “Duck Dynasty: The Revival” which is set to air on Wednesday, May 28 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. This revival comes after the network decided to bring back the once massively popular series that faced controversy back in 2014. The show’s patriarch, Phil Robertson, made homophobic and racist remarks in a GQ profile, leading to his suspension by A&E and causing outrage among right-wing pundits. As a result, the show’s ratings declined, ultimately leading to its end in 2017.
The new season of “Duck Dynasty: The Revival” will consist of 10 episodes and will focus on the Robertson family as they navigate the expansion of their family business beyond just ducks. Viewers can expect to see Willie and Korie Robertson bring their signature wit and down-home charm as they explore the future of Duck Commander, support their children through various life milestones, and work to preserve their family legacy. However, Willie quickly realizes that the next generation may not embody the Robertson spirit as he initially thought.
With a two-season, 20-episode order, fans can look forward to more content from the beloved Robertson family. During its peak in fall 2013, “Duck Dynasty” was pulling in an impressive average of 14.6 million viewers in Live+7 ratings.
The revival of “Duck Dynasty” is being produced by Wheelhouse’s Spoke Studios and Tread Lively Productions for A&E, who holds exclusive worldwide distribution rights for the show.
In other programming news, FOX Nation is gearing up to launch a new game show titled “Greg Gutfeld’s What Did I Miss?” hosted by Greg Gutfeld. The series will premiere over a three-day window starting on May 12, with subsequent episodes airing on May 13 and 14. Contestants on the show will compete to correctly identify news stories that occurred during their period of isolation from technology, with a cash prize of $50,000 up for grabs.
Additionally, “Night Court” Season 3 is set to feature guest appearances by Simon Helberg from “The Big Bang Theory” and Raegan Revord from “Young Sheldon” in its finale. Helberg will be part of a “Big Bang” reunion that promises to shake things up for Abby, played by Melissa Rauch on the show. Revord will portray a teenage runaway named Shelby who is determined to marry her soulmate. Marsha Warfield will also be returning to reprise her role as Roz from the original series.
Simon Helberg is not only set to appear in “Night Court” but also in “Poker Face” Season 2 alongside Natasha Lyonne. Additionally, he is currently in production on Jonathan Glatzer’s “The Audacity” for AMC, where he will star alongside Billy Magnussen and Zach Galifianakis.
