These 4 Small Nations Can Teach Something To Israel And Russia

Amidst the focus on the conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, there are other regions like Central Asia and the Caucasus that are making progress towards peace. These areas, often overlooked, are facing threats from various sources and external influences. However, four countries in these regions have shown that resolving long-standing territorial disputes is possible.
Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan
Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, two countries with a history of border disputes, recently signed an agreement to delimit and demarcate their border after 31 years. This treaty also addressed key issues like water, energy, and infrastructure, paving the way for enhanced collaboration and connectivity between the two nations.
Nagorno-Karabagh War
Armenia and Azerbaijan, embroiled in a decades-long conflict over the Nagorno-Karabagh region, have made significant progress towards a peace agreement. Despite past wars and tensions, the two countries have agreed on a framework for a peace deal, signaling a positive step towards normalizing relations and ending decades of rivalry.
These developments serve as hopeful examples of neighboring countries coming together with the support of international partners to ensure peace and prosperity for their people. It raises the question of whether other regions can follow suit in resolving long-standing conflicts.
