Tristan Thompson to pay close to 10K in child support

While she gets full custody of baby Theo, Tristan Thompson reportedly agreed to pay Maralee Nichols nearly $10K per month in child support.
Tristan Thompson, 31, settled his paternity case with Maralee Nichols after they had a son, Theo, who turned 1. According to TMZ, the NBA star agreed to pay Maralee $9,500 per month in child support. Tristan also covered some of Maralee’s lawyer fees, as reported by the outlet. This comes as he got her pregnant while he was in a committed relationship with Khloe Kardashian, 38. According to reports, Maralee will have sole custody of Theo.
Since Maralee gave birth to Tristan’s son on Dec. 3, 2021, this paternity case has been playing out. An attorney for the professional athlete insisted in August that claims Tristan wasn’t paying child support were false, despite what a spokesperson had previously told Us Weekly. The attorney said to Us Weekly that Tristan “is paying, and has paid, child support to Ms. Nichols retroactive to the date she delivered the child.”
Court docs revealed that Maralee gave birth last winter, causing the news of her pregnancy to break. Tristan took a paternity test a month after the child was born and it revealed that he was the father. The professional athlete announced the news on Instagram Stories. ”
I am fully responsible for my actions. I look forward to raising our son together now that paternity has been established. He wrote, “I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal, both publicly and privately.” You’re the most beautiful and loving person I know”
In his message, Tristan also apologized to Khloe, writing, “Khloé, you don’t deserve this. You’re the most beautiful and loving person I know.” The heartache and humiliation I have caused you is undeserved. I am sorry for the way I have treated you over the years, you deserve better.
Tristan has three children, Theo being the third. He shares a 6-year-old son, Prince, with his ex, Jordan Craig, and a 4-year-old daughter, True, with Khloe. Tristan and Khloe welcomed their second child, a son, via surrogate in July of 2022. Tristan’s paternity scandal broke before their baby boy was conceived. “We can confirm that True will have a sibling who was conceived in November,” Khloe’s rep told the press in a statement. ”
Khloe is incredibly grateful for such a beautiful blessing from the extraordinary surrogate. We would appreciate it if the public would be respectful of Khloe’s privacy at this time so she can focus on her family.
