Trump Has Social Media Meltdown After Hate-Watching ‘60 Minutes’

President Donald Trump took to his Truth Social website to express his outrage over the recent “60 Minutes” broadcast by CBS and its parent company, Paramount. Trump called for “maximum fines and punishment” against the network, labeling them as a “dishonest Political Operative” disguised as a news outlet. He specifically criticized the show’s interview with Vice President Kamala Harris and the segments on Greenland and the war in Ukraine.

Trump accused CBS of engaging in “unlawful and illegal behavior” and urged FCC Chair Brendan Carr to impose substantial penalties on the network. He claimed that CBS was “out of control” and should face consequences for their actions.

The segment that triggered Trump involved Greenland, where he suggested that the autonomous Danish territory should become part of the United States. However, Greenlanders were not receptive to the idea, with Inuit elder Aqqaluk Lynge criticizing Trump’s statements as “ugly.”

The interview with Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also drew attention, with Trump’s promises to end the war in Ukraine being questioned. Zelenskyy expressed concerns that Russian narratives were prevailing in the U.S.

Overall, Trump’s posts on Truth Social highlighted his dissatisfaction with CBS and their reporting, calling for accountability and penalties for what he perceived as misleading and biased coverage.
