Two inmates found at IHOP after escaping prison, say what?
Two inmates in Virginia escaped from jail by digging a hole with tools they made from a toothbrush and a metal object. The Newport News Sheriff’s Office discovered the pair missing during a routine headcount on Monday night. The inmates managed to dig a hole through one of the jail walls using primitive-made tools and untied rebars. After escaping, they scaled a wall and left the area. They were later found at an IHOP in Hampton and taken into custody. Sheriff Gabe Morgan thanked the IHOP patrons who alerted law enforcement. The incident remains under investigation.
