Uh-Oh: Fox News Reporter Called Trump Out 3 Times In Just 1 Day

President Donald Trump usually finds a friendly platform on Fox News, but on Tuesday, the network’s White House correspondent, Peter Doocy, took a surprisingly blunt approach. Doocy, known for challenging President Joe Biden as well, pointed out that Trump and his team have been pushing federal workers to retire in an effort to downsize the government. However, he highlighted the difficulty of convincing employees to retire when their retirement accounts are taking a hit due to the current market volatility.

As the Dow Jones Industrial Average plummeted by 680 points during his report, Doocy didn’t shy away from addressing the issue directly with White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt during the briefing. He even jokingly asked if anyone at the White House had shorted the Dow, before circling back to the impact on federal workers’ retirement savings.

Despite the lack of a clear response from Leavitt, Doocy continued to press the issue during an event outside the White House with President Trump. He questioned the president about his decision to purchase a Tesla at full price while many Americans were struggling with financial uncertainty.

The unexpected shift in tone from Fox News caught the attention of Trump’s critics on social media, who welcomed the rare display of critical journalism from the right-wing network.
