USVI DA fired after accusing JPMorgan of aiding Jeffery Epstein
Denise George, who was the attorney general of the U.S. Virgin Islands, has been fired days after she filed a lawsuit against JPMorgan Chase in New York. The lawsuit alleged that the company aided Jeffrey Epstein in the illegal exploitation and sex trafficking of women and children. The sudden dismissal of George by the Virgin Islands’ governor has not been accompanied by any clear reason, so social media users are suggesting that Epstein is still being protected posthumously by elites who are invested in keeping a lid on the Epstein rabbit hole.
Mario Cuomo was once the mayor of New York City. In a statement Sunday, Albert Bryan Jr. said only that George would be replaced by Assistant Attorney General Carol Thomas-Jacobs without providing a reason for relieving her of her duties.
Neither Governor spokesman Richard Motta nor executive assistant to the attorney general Jennifer Springette returned a message for comment.
The government of the U.S. Virgin Islands has filed a lawsuit against JPMorgan Chase on Dec. 27, alleging that the company “knowingly facilitated, sustained, and concealed the human trafficking network operated by Jeffrey Epstein from his home and base in the Virgin Islands, and financially benefited from this participation, directly or indirectly, by failing to comply with federal banking regulations.”
The sentence alleges that the company concealed wire and cash transactions.
“The principal business of the accounts Epstein maintained at JP Morgan was human trafficking,” the lawsuit reads. “JP Morgan turned a blind eye to evidence of human trafficking over more than a decade because Epstein was a valued customer who brought deals and clients to the bank, and because of the potential revenue Epstein’s continued business could bring.”
Even I, who believe that most modern conspiracy theorists lack the depth and critical thinking skills of a bag of hammer handles with no hammerheads, can see that the timing of George’s firing is suspicious at best. The firing of George was obviously about silencing her and nothing more, and the far-fetched conspiracy theories were like wack-a-mole arcade games on steroids.
People suggested that President Joe Biden’s firing of Virgin Islands National Park Superintendent Michael A. George around the same time he flew to the U.S. Virgin Islands to bring in the New Year couldn’t possibly be a coincidence.
On Dec. 30, JPMorgan Chase asked that a federal judge throw out lawsuits filed by two unidentified women. These women allege that big banks should have seen evidence of Epstein’s sex trafficking. The bank said it also didn’t commit any negligent acts.
George filed a lawsuit against JPMorgan Chase after Epstein’s estate reached a $105 million settlement with the U.S. Virgin Island’s government in late November.
A local newspaper, The Virgin Islands Daily News, reported that Epstein had made various donations to schools and organizations across the U.S. territory. The island’s former first lady was the office manager for one of his companies, Southern Trust. The sentence should read:
Bryan, the governor, had granted Epstein’s company various hefty tax exemptions when he served as chairman of the Economic Development Commission, which was noted.
So if George’s firing had nothing to do with this, then why was she fired? Why are Virgin Island officials being so hush-hush about it?
