Utah Football Players to Receive 2024 Ram 1500 Big Horn Trucks in NIL Deal
In a groundbreaking move, every football player on the University of Utah’s team is set to receive a 2024 Ram 1500 Big Horn truck as part of a new agreement between NIL-focused video platform FTW360 and The Crimson Collective, a supporter of the Utes’ program. The deal covers lease and insurance costs for 85 players who are on scholarship, marking a significant partnership estimated to be in the seven figures.
FTW360, chosen by The Crimson Collective, will launch a collegiate streaming app named Utah360°. This app aims to engage fans, students, alumni, donors, and sponsors, fostering increased interaction with the university’s sports program. As part of the agreement, players are only required to commit to a specific community service project within a year to receive the truck lease.
The Ken Garff Automotive Group, one of the nation’s largest auto dealers, is facilitating the deal in collaboration with several Utah donors from The Crimson Collective. Each truck, with a retail price of $61,000, will be leased through individual six-month contracts. These contracts are expected to roll over based on a player’s eligibility and enrollment at the university, with leases concluding upon a player’s eligibility expiration or their decision to transfer.
Utah, currently boasting a successful season with a 4-1 record and a No. 18 ranking in the Associated Press poll, has become a focal point of innovative NIL deals. The team’s stellar performance on the field, coupled with unique partnerships, is creating new avenues for athletes to benefit from NIL opportunities.
