Weekend Update Slams Diddy, Will Smith & Viral Morning Routine

Colin Jost and Michael Che delivered their signature sharp wit and comedic take on the week’s biggest headlines in the latest episode of “Saturday Night Live.” Che had the audience in stitches with his clever jabs at imprisoned rap mogul Diddy, joking about his rumored love for baby oil at parties. Che quipped, “In an anonymous survey of oil executives, many of them think President Trump’s ‘Drill, baby, drill’ message is a miss and his tariffs are a disaster. But there’s one billionaire oil man who still supports Donald Trump: Diddy.”
The duo also poked fun at fitness influencer Ashton Hall, whose morning routine videos have gone viral. Che introduced their own parody version, Devon Walker, who hilariously demonstrated his own “rise and grind” routine, complete with avocado toast facials and napping in his dressing room.
Che didn’t hold back when it came to critiquing Will Smith’s new album, quipping, “Will Smith has released his first new album in 20 years, and ironically, this album doesn’t slap.” Jost also got in on the action, mocking a controversial painting of Trump that was removed from the Colorado state capitol after Trump complained that it was “purposefully distorted.” Jost joked, “In the artist’s defense, Trump did pose for the portrait with a hamburger inside his mouth.”
The news satire segment didn’t spare other notable figures, including JD Vance, Kristi Noem, and the Pete Hegseth Signal controversy. The comedic duo’s sharp commentary and timely jokes kept the audience entertained throughout the episode.
