Wife of ‘Ghost Adventures’ star posted eerie photo week before she was arrested for murder-for-hire plot targeting him

The Instagram post shared by Victoria Goodwin, the wife of “Ghost Adventures” star Aaron Goodwin, depicted a cozy moment of the couple cuddling with their pet cat just a week before she was arrested for allegedly plotting his murder with the help of an incarcerated convicted killer. The image captured the couple lounging on a couch, with Aaron’s hand on Victoria’s leg and their cat nestled between them.
In another Instagram post, Victoria shared a photo of her and Aaron smiling during a Valentine’s Day mini-golf date in Las Vegas. The caption read, “Mini golf with my Valentine,” showcasing their happy moments together.
However, the idyllic facade was shattered on March 6 when Victoria, 32, was arrested and charged with solicitation to commit murder and conspiracy to murder. An investigation revealed that she had been communicating with an inmate, Grant Amato, at an undisclosed Florida prison since October 2024. Victoria allegedly expressed her desire to kill her husband as a way to escape their marriage.
Grant Amato, the inmate Victoria was communicating with, had previously committed a heinous crime by killing his family after stealing money to wire to a woman in Bulgaria in 2019. Currently serving a life sentence without parole, Amato had become pen pals with Victoria after she watched a documentary featuring him.
Victoria allegedly offered to pay $11,515 to have her husband killed and made a down payment of $2,500 to move forward with the plan. She even provided information about Aaron’s whereabouts to Amato, who was in contact with a hitman to carry out the murder while Aaron was filming “Ghost Adventures” in California.
Despite the alleged plot, Victoria has denied any intention of wanting her husband killed. She is currently held on $100,000 bail and had her initial court appearance on Tuesday. Aaron, on the other hand, was reportedly blindsided by the turn of events and believed he was in a happy marriage.
The couple, who tied the knot at Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion in California in August 2022, reside in Las Vegas. Aaron is best known for his role on “Ghost Adventures” alongside paranormal investigator Zak Bagans. Bagans expressed his support for Aaron during this emotional time, as the two have been friends and colleagues since moving to Nevada in 2005 to pursue filmmaking. They have worked together in the public eye since the premiere of “Ghost Adventures” in 2008.
