I Am Legend Reboot?

Robert Neville, Will Smith’s character, is returning for an I Am Legend sequel, and he is taking Michael B. Jordan along with him.
Deadline reported that Smith and Jordan will join forces for the next installment of I Am Legend, following the first movie which was released over 15 years ago. This will be the inaugural occasion on which the two stars will collaborate as both actors and producers.
With Smith and Jordan having grossed a combined massive total of $12.3 billion worldwide, it is expected to perform well at the box office. Oscar-winner Akiva Goldsman, the original writer of the film, is returning to write and produce the sequel.
Goldsman has revealed that the possibilities for the new script are “endless”, though details about the film are still sparse.
Goldsman revealed that the sequel will start a few decades later than the first.
He continued, expressing his obsession with The Last of Us and the unique perspective it gives of the world post-apocalypse after a 20- to 30-year lapse. ”
As man steps away from being the primary tenant, we can observe how the earth reclaims the world, and it raises an intriguing question of what will happen next – something truly beautiful. New York will be especially visually striking.
In the 2007 film, Smith starred as Robert Neville in a post-apocalyptic New York City nearly deserted and overrun with zombies.
It opened with an impressive $77.2M at the box office and went on to earn an impressive $256.4M domestically and an even more impressive $585.4M worldwide. In the aftermath of Smith’s Oscars slap attack against Chris Rock, the announcement of the sequel is the first major project to have his name attached.
The film “Smith’s Emancipation” was released on Apple TV in October of 2022. At the 2022 Oscars, Smith’s first film release since the slap attack was addressed, though the Academy Award winner couldn’t move past his shocking actions.
”It was a truly dreadful night, as you can imagine. There are many nuances and complexities to it. On the Daily Show, as noted by Variety, Smith said, “But at the end of the day, I just — I lost it, you know?”
”That night, I was going through something, you know? My behavior cannot be justified, as it was a result of a lot of things. He continued, “You know, it was the little boy who watched his father beat up his mother?” ”
At that moment, all of that came to the surface. I do not want to be that.
